I wish Americans better understood how fucking cool the Iroquois Confederation / Haudenosaunee was. A literal constitution, drafted 100 years before White settlers' own, and recorded via wampum belt. A central legislative representative body. They even taught Europeans how to grow the 'Three Sisters.' Their only mistake was trusting our dumb asses.
