Random Internet doctor hopes you feel better soon, but of influenza, expect at least 7 days of feeling like crap, sometimes 14, with lingering cough for longer. It's one of the reasons I get the flu shot - even the 2-3 days I feel crappy after the shot are better than actually getting a real influenza infection.
