I would suggest the audiotechnicas over this. because I listen to a major mix of music they provide the best value with range of response for what I listen to. someone's opinion on headphones should never sway you, but if you listen to a wide range you will be much happier with MX50x series.
the one thing I did not mention with the sony is they make my head super, super hot. im not sure if that is just the volume im listenin to them at but they get hot and super fast
