We were also both in school plays together as being a boys school we didn't have anyone to play female roles so she joined our drama classes for the school plays.
It was quite odd to start with, but then I just took it for granted that she would be in our drama class sometimes.
Funny thing was that after I finished school at 16 I became a teaching assistant in the new school we amalgamated with and so I joined her (and some of my other teachers) in the staff room!
