Good Morning! I've been on nostr since May 2024 but have never done an introduction so here goes.
Professionaly, I travel around the US and sometimes the world working at nuclear power plants. It's contract work so when I'm not doing that I do some traveling just for fun (this summer I walked across Spain on the #caminofrances), spend time with family and friends, and learn new things.
About 7 years ago I decided to start learning as much as I could about technology and dove into linux, server admin, programming, etc. Turns out I'm not very good at programming but for some reason I enjoy learning about it. Lately I have been exploring machine language and cpu architecture type stuff. I have no use for it, I'm just curious about how computers work at the lowest level.
In the process of learning about all this tech stuff I stumbled down the bitcoin rabbit hole. If learning about bitcoin was the only thing I got from the past years of learning about technology then I'd say it was a worthwhile journey. I just wish it had peaked my interest sooner.
Anyways, I started trying to familiarize myself with nostr after my trip this past summer by documenting it on here. It's a work in progress and if you're bored feel free to check it out, but only if you are really bored, it's not interesting at all, it's mainly just for me to learn how to use this new freedom technology.
So that's it I guess, consider myself formally introduced. Maybe one day I will have interesting things to post on here or in general just try to be more engaging. Also, feel free to give me advice on the best way to use nostr. I've seen some people get upset about how people use hashtags and as someone who really isn't all that in to social media I don't understand what the decorum is on internet manners.
