So much self-delusion, so much narcissism, so much sociopathy. When programming became valuable, the men charged in and took it off the women. When the value multiplier became huge, the sociopaths rolled in as managers, etc.

Speaking with my consultant hat on, every software development team I've met that as an _ounce_ of introspective capability could be classed as a "high performing team". We don't even have to get into the metacognition stuff.
