There are different species, races and societies, each with their own rules.
Human villages have public open air trials and there are no prisons. The main goal is to give the accused the opportunity to make adequate amends after guilt has been proven.
If this is not possible, the culprit will be banished from the village.
And the dragons? They do what dragons do and answer only to their gods.
