The "housing crisis" was always going to fix itself. There is a belief that the cost of housing always rises, which is clearly absurd. If that were true then it would cost trillions of dollars to live in an ancient city like Rome or Paris. That's obviously not the case. Long term, housing prices generally follow inflation.
