We keep go-bags handy. My neighbor bought a used fire truck for his and neighboring properties. We have a #GMRS emergency radio net every week just in case it's needed. Homeowner's insurance is a nightmare.
Political chaos - we might be a bit insulated. California is a deep blue state. The GOP is almost powerless at the state level. I live in a super blue county as well.
