I think an important point of this is that we *cannot* resolve the economic crisis under capitalism (at least how it is currently defined). The persuit of growth (and profits) preclude it.
So switching economic systems to one that inherently values the ecosystem we depend on provides a chance, at least, of doing so.
I'll take a chance, slim as it may be, over none at all.
