I want people to read this, especially if they're another one of the people who want change after yesterday.

I spent a lot of time thinking overnight, pondering the events of... Really, the entire time I've been here.
Some things have been said.
I've considered them carefully.

I've decided I don't believe them.
I want to try and make this place what I remember it being.
I believe the reaction to yesterday's events show that people in the community are willing to change, people want change.

If people want to leave with Pumpkin, so be it. I understand if people are hurt or frightened, and they deserve peace and comfort, if this place cannot provide that, then it has failed them just as it has failed him.
I hope when Pumpkin leaves, he will have the comfort we failed to provide.
But I'll stay behind. I'll do everything I can to be what others have been for me because it's what I've failed to do, time and time again. I haven't been there for others, not that anyone's ever needed me in particular but I still could have been there to help, I still could have made a difference, I could have still shown support.
That is a failure that is on me.

If you're one of the people who responded to yesterday's events with the desire for change, I have a few words for you.
Change starts on an individual level then spreads.
If you think you've failed in some way, take the time to calm yourself. Consider what those failings are. A lack of action, mistakes made, the past means nothing if it's only regret.
Try to be there for each other and anyone else.
For as tempting as it may be, don't forget all of this either. I'll be saving events like this to make sure they're not forgotten.
If you have screenshots of others who've left in disgust or hatred, please send them to me. Every instance of this is worth remembering.
