From the time you start school or even pre-school you are forced often to conform to an ideal that is reinforced everywhere. Supressing your emotions is one of the first things you are ever taught as a man, and it's policed by everyone around you.
I think it's lazy logic to ostracise those who are products of a system that discourages human experience. We should be asking why this has even become necessary. I do work with helping people reconnect with their emotions and it's horrifying how ingrained denial of emotion is in most men.
