"content": "For my poles I followed REI's guide:\n https://www.rei.com/blog/snowsports/diy-make-your-own-pulk-sled\n\nThey said to use 5' lengths for snowshoeing and 6' for skiing. I just went with 6' poles from the get go. I probably won't improve on them this time, but my dad had success using the aluminum sections from a roof rake with his pulk.
