Politicians, the press and the broadcast media have given a voice to those on the right who would make the UK a meaner more xenophobic and uncharitable nation, a nation that still believes itself to be a world power and which is arrogant enough to see itself as somehow exceptional in the world. Well, you have sown the wind. And still we have "politicians" like Farage stirring the political pot and press barons like Murdoch poisoning public discourse. And we are reaping the whirlwind.
