I'm curious about your perspective on a hypothetical question: If I were to drag an old x86 MacBook Pro out of storage and reformat the drive, how much time do you think would be required to install a Linux, get it connected to my LAN with DHCP, and access the web interface for my masto instance?
For context, I'm a die-hard Mac user. 20 years ago, Redhat was my daily driver. I relied heavily on bash, emacs, and javac. IOW, 2 decades ago, I knew what I was doing.
