A reminder I got last night when it comes to Trump's obviously awful cabinet picks: the conveyor belt only goes one way. Anyone who was even remotely qualified will not work with him again, so he picks people who are progressively more ridiculous. Eventually, there will be fallings-out and firings ... and the conveyor belt will continue to go only one way. It's going to be a bumpy ride, for sure ... but don't lose track of that.

Also, presidents cannot just unilaterally create new cabinet departments. Only Congress can do that. So there is no "Department of Government Efficiency" outside the windmills of Trump's addled mind.
