#OTD 16 August 1860 Katharine Vosseler Wittekind married John J Martini in Leavenworth County, Kansas Territory. With her daughter, they moved to St. Louis, Missouri, where they added several children to their family, and lost some to childhood diseases. Katharine died first, leaving John to raise the youngest children. They were buried together in St. Louis. Katharine is assumed to be my great-grandmother's half-sister and the person who raised her much younger siblings.
