The biggest difference will come when normal POS systems can easily accept Bitcoin.
I have a friend with a brick and mortar shop who uses Square. This friend would consider adding Bitcoin as a payment option if either Square integrated it, or there was some other way to keep using Square but take Bitcoin as well without tons of bookkeeping
