Five generations ago the idea of keeping one's money in a bank was laughable. We have been systematically programmed to believe that the bank is the safest place to keep our money.
Correction: the government's money. If you're with me so far, then you know that the money you think you have in the bank is not actually your money. The government issues it to you, you trade your time for it, and then the government takes it all back in the form of taxation. You are a slave to the government.
If you are still following, there are two solutions: gold and Bitcoin. Gold has advantages to fiat currency but it's biggest downsides are that it can be confiscated by the government and can't easily be transported across borders.
Bitcoin on the other hand can't be confiscated by the government and can easily be transported across borders.
Bitcoin is a superior money to gold, and any fiat currency - hands down.
Unfortunately it will take five generations for the world to figure it out.
