I need help. Many many years ago when I was a young one in school (like 278 years ago), we read a book about these kids on the Oregon trail. They lost their parents and almost died being snowed in prolly on one of the mountain passes. One of the few details I remember was them making a big deal to save their mothers beloved stained glass windows they had brought across America. And I think a brother died in the storm. I think I found the story but I'm not 100% sure bc I can't cross check deets.
