[NO SPOILERS DUNE PART 2 REVIEW]
TLDR: It was good, about as good as you could possibly expect an adaptation to be without being 8 hours long.

First and Foremost: Zendaya's miscasting is actually a good thing in my mind because it just affirms my (extremely correct) opinion that Paul falling for the crusty sandussy woman instead of being a good husband for Irulan (who, by the way, Florence Pugh was an *spot* on casting for) was the greatest travesty of the entire series.
The sound, costume, and set design was on point. The special effects never felt overdone or took me out of living in the world. Hans Zimmer, as to be expected after part 1, knocked the music out of the park as well.
The Lady Jessica, Stilgar, Lady Fenring, and the Padishah Emperor all felt aptly-cast as well - I had no complains about them. Feyd-Rautha, particularly his scenes on Geidi Prime, were fantastic - there were some cinematography choices made which made it all the more powerful of a scene imo.

The plot, while I certainly COULD gripe about certain inclusions or exclusions or prioritization of certain scenes over others (as I'm sure many have already and will continue to do in the coming years), I also believe that it was the best possible effort Denis Villeneuve could have made, and his ample respect for the source material shows both in the final product, and in every interview he gives. If you want to see some of this in action, look up his shot-by-shot breakdown of the Gom Jabar scene from part 1 on Vanity Fair's YouTube. It showcases this perfectly. In turn for his dedication to the world of Dune, I ultimately respect Denis' decision-making, even the parts I perhaps don't agree with, and thoroughly look forward to his future Dune adaptations, should he look to do them.

At the end of the day, I recommend the movie to anyone who was invested in the world either via the books, or by Villeneuve's own Part 1 adaptation.

About to see Dune 2. I expect good things
