A "community" does not include every possible person. Then it wouldn't be a community.

Communities can have standards; those can be (must be) loose standards; the trance dance folk I hang with have "no hate; racism, homophobia, transphobia, misogyny not allowed". Broad and vague and hosts a wildly diverse bunch of people.

Allow anyone? It's a marketplace not a community.

Difficult to maintain? Yup that's how it goes. Easier when they're small as we all viscerally and personally know.

Tough shit for businesses wanting numbers to generate income. Fuck those concerns. Utterly.
