I think a lot of the talk around open source is posturing. Lots of people don't know what it means, or mix the meanings. What is the success story of open source. Why has the bazaar won?

I'm not saying it lost, but like just calling something open source doesn't make it good. And just calling something closed source doesn't make it bad.
