The last month or two has felt like something of a tipping point for me in my public profile. The difference is between knowing, before, that the path I've been following as a trans journalist leads to a tightrope with no net... to beginning to step out onto that tightrope.
I am resolute... but I am also very, very frightened. I've never liked heights and I don't think I like metaphorical ones much better.
