It took less than two days for me to realise that I've done two things here: a) separated my email; b) migrated to a new email system (Apple Mail) for my personal stuff, and using IMAP rather than Gmail's goodness.
a) was a good idea. b) was not. Mimestream is such a good desktop program for Gmail, I'm keeping it. So, shifted my personal email to run through my neglected Google Workspace account (which I pay for anyway). No weaning off Google quite yet for email then.
