After finishing The Hobbit for Vada's bedtime book we went on to Stuart Little, which was thankfully quite short, as I didn't really like it all that much. At the end was an excerpt from Charlotte's Web and so now we're reading that. I'm loving the writing style. I can't remember all that much from reading it as a kid, but I know it's gonna be sad. Strange how all this empathy and compassion for farm animals we innately have as children so often slowly fades away as the world inevitably indoctrinates us into adulthood.
