All regulation will infantilize the citizenry to some degree, and prevent the culture from establishing its own institutions and ways of dealing with risk.
That’s not to say regulation is always wrong - I wouldn’t want to make that case - but merely to add my support to what you say: Regultion isn’t always right. It has a dangerous price.
