I'll never be like *him*, you said angrily inside your head. You may have even been looking at yourself in the mirror after another incident. Fist balled up and eyes thirsty for understanding beneath the rage.

Years later you would find that you have outbursts, just like him. But perhaps you are softer and more gentle than his torrential storm. The loved ones in your life fear your anger nonetheless.

Your channeled message is to look deeper within. Right now the wound is buried within you to come to light. For many of you this started with a father or a strong authority figure in your life who misused their power. They substituted control, domination, and aggression instead of deeply understanding their fears and insecurities and effectively communicating them to you. Their intensity was a reflection of how they learned to be when they felt a certain negative emotion.

Your task is to unchain that reaction within yourself and sit with the discomfort of the feeling rather than burying it and denying it until it explodes in a fiery mess. This is the practice of mindfulness and retraining the neuronal circuits to fire in a different pattern rather than the strong unconscious limbic system which takes over. Right now your only coping strategy is to dominate this emotion within you which only serves to bottle it up until you cannot inhibit the reaction any longer.

Try a practice of finding or asking yourself "What am I afraid of?", when you feel the rising emotion that triggers you. This will help you gain better understanding of what to fix inside of you to heal that wound.
