We went to the funeral director today to pick up my mam's ashes. I didn't want her feeling lonely there over the weekend (silly I know). She's currently sat on a comfy chair in our living room. Strangely, it doesn't feel at all odd or unusual. We'll arrange for a little service in a few days time when her little box can be buried next to my dad's at our church's 'garden of rest'. The sun is shinning and the scent of spring is in the air. The birds are singing outside. There's a sense of peace.
