On iOS devices, the Apple APNs service is used, which is Apple’s only push notification method. However, the content pushed through Apple’s APNs is not public (e.g., “You have received a private message”). Only you can decrypt the private chat content, and no one else can access it.
On Android, it is relatively more privacy-focused compared to iOS. We have integrated UnifiedPush with an embedded FOSS-FCM distributor. No google service used here.
