I'm an organic person and there are times I don't pass the Turing test because I react to most things differently than others. It's interesting how the rise of people-like machines causes some others to treat people like me - who happen to present more as a machine might - as undeserving of my personhood.
That is to say, it seems "when you can't tell the difference" is no longer a workable answer to "when does a machine stop being a machine and become a person?" and perhaps it never really was.
