getimiskon :OwOid: :blobcatgooglytrash: (npub1d2u…f3ag) you're up. As for claiming to be a Marxist, communist, socialist, etc, and not applying that philosophy in practice. You'll have probably reached the same conclusion I have that they either hold these beliefs but don't actively practice them or are simply larping.
I consider myself to be a left-leaning libertarian, but I don't actively involve myself in politics under the belief that it is just one big farce. Politics in various countries are puppeteered by special interest groups that hold a disproportionate amount of influence over discourse than the public has and thus those in power will always seek to appease these groups to retain their position. In America especially it is all pretty damn corrupt from nepotism which is why the 2016 election became a matter of voting for the lesser of two evils rather than who the public think will do better by them.
I don't really blame far-left larpers for not bothering to put their politics into practice because they'll end up getting stopped at every turn. Especially if they're trying to bring in a political system that goes against the interests of those aforementioned groups currently influencing the direction of global politics.
