I feel like I finally understand better why I've wanted to leave the US for the last 30 years. This feeling of malaise and alienation wasn't just my imagination, nor was it due to some internal fault of deficiency. This country is deeply and profoundly unwell and at least half of it is in denial of that fact. #uspol
