A popular intuitive and emotional argument that allegedly proves unavoidable victory of #Russia is its āinfinite human resourceā.
Below is a 19th century diagram of Napoleonās march to Moscow. One of perhaps the finest graphics ever produced in terms of the amount of information and the legibility of its presentation.
The thick brown line shows the numbers of Napoleonās troops as they marched. At the time of its commencement (left), the strength of the Napoleonic army compared to the Russian army was also āinfiniteā. Black is the Russian army.
Right hand side is the numbers of both armies when they met at Moscow.
How it ended, we know from history (Napoleon lost). Conclusions about the present day are for everyone to draw for themselves.
P.S. later I find the book where I saw it, but first I need to find it :)
