Americans will never switch to the metric system for a very simple reason - pounds are smaller than kilograms.
"Bugman you drunk retard, what does that have to do with anything?"
I'll tell you what. Americans treat obesity like a high score contest. Since pounds are smaller, you get a bigger number when you weigh yourself. The average American would be absolutely devastated if they finally broke the thousand pound barrier, then got on the scale and saw less than half that number because we switched to the metric system. Is that what you want? All these poor fat Americans crying and injecting fentanyl because you canceled all their hard work? To make them feel like eating 750 McBurgers and a cattle trough of French fries every day just wasn't enough? You're sick, man.
