To RPG game designers: I don't wanna be the Chosen One. I don't wanna have great power granted to me by the Great Deus Ex Machina. I don't want a magic mundflayer worm or be part god or anything like that.

I want to start out a nobody, and earn my wealth, power and reputation as well as the scars it took to get it.

I want to start out with a single sleep spell or a rusty spear in a cavern full if kobolds and end up lord of all I survey, or die in the attempt: the true Hero's Journey.
