Basically the first of these - and it will take about a century to fully resolve.

I moved from Europe to Montreal, and it was a huge shock for me - the winters were deadly cold, occasionally dipping below -30ºC.

Something like 90% of the Canadian population is within 200 km of the US border for that reason.

Montreal is 45ºN. I'm sitting in Cherbourg as I type, 50ºN, and there are palm trees here, because of the AMOC.
