We’ve become so jaded by Trump’s naked criminality that we have forgotten how damning the evidence is against him and how anything less than significant prison time will be a critical marker of the end of democracy in America.
Either he is convicted and sentenced to prison or the game is over. Not even the conservative Supreme Court likely wants to see a would-be dictator with the power to overrule them take power.
