I keep thinking about the relationship between truth and honesty on mastodon as a platform. There's an awful lot of people here invested in the Truth but who are not actually invested in honesty at all, and it shows: so many reply guys who demand that any possibly untrue thing be debated but without the honesty to actually contribute meaningfully, without the sense of awareness and care that would enable finding actual truths.
