The kind of money I use isn't worth wasting my precious time on earth thinking about, except to be wary of pitfalls and to try to choose the least awful situation.

I don't think an argument about whether dog shit or bird shit tastes better is really worth engaging in.

On the other hand, free speech is extremely important, and that doesn't have to require any special currency.

The people who serve mammon want to attach their currency (whether it be dollars or bitcoin or whatever) to literally everything, though, because they care about nothing other than getting rich quick without actually working.

Discuss any topic, and the people here will immediately discuss how they can do it with bitcoin.

"Oh cool, you went traveling? Yeah, I imagine someday we'll be able to travel without needing fiat, it'll all be bitcoin!"

"The weather is nice where you are? Yeah, I bet we could crowdsource more accurate forecasts by using bitcoin donations"
