I was initially excited about my new WIP — the idea and premise seemed interesting. However, when I started working on it, I found that something was missing. It was a bit boring, a bit slow to start. The MC seemed kind of boring, too. I wanted her to be an unreliable narrator, so a lot of information was unavailable to her, but that made the SC, who didn’t even have POV chapters more compelling.
Then, I had this new idea out of the blue, and it made me rediscover my excitement. 1/2
