so, i have been doing pull-ups as my first foray into getting into doing a regular #workout, and i think i can do maybe 3 pull-ups now after a week doing this
my escalation in this domain to further success is going to be squats... pushups are also upper body, so i want to go easy on adding more to that area without some balance
of course, because of my regular exercise based on needing to climb some 20m of altitude on my ~1km walk to the shop on a daily basis, i'm starting at a pretty high baseline... i can do 30 squats, it seems, i stopped at the point where i started to pant a lot and feel noticable beginnings of pain in my legs
i think this is gonna be easier for me to push forwards because i have already had the need to develop fairly strong legs from my physical location and lack of vehicle, but i am going to continue the pull-ups as i go
the thing i'm looking forward to in doing the exercise is that this will have a result, pretty quickly, of making my daily chores easy, and that means that i will probably start to think about making a routine of visiting Arco de Sao Jorge, the nearby settlement over the other side of that giant ridge you have seen in my photos of my surrounds here, the other side of the gully where the water flows out to the ocean nearby
of course, when i finally get to going out on that track, over the edge of the mountain, i will take photos at least once maybe twice of what i see along the way
i'm also getting low-key excited about the thought of taking the foot-trek path out to Santana, the nearest big town to me, and seeing it finally - it is the point at which all the main americas optic fibre cable bundles land and provide us connectivity to that part of the world
