These are fun, but I'm starting to think part of the reason they happen is that the signage is ambiguous. To me, the sign reads as "Overheight [vehicles] must turn" -- i.e., a general statement, rather than a command to you specifically in that truck. It also doesn't blink, so it just appears to me as an informational sign rather than a situational warning
I don't know how that could be fixed, while also maintaining quick readability at speed? Maybe "You are overheight! Turn now!"? I dunno
