if 'false' allegations of assault against women and children would bring a man down, ruin his reputation etc, and therefore be used politically - you'd need it to be the case that such cases were taken seriously in the first place. and we know they aren't. anywhere in the world it seems.
wouldn't you 'falsely accuse' your enemy of something people (other men) give a shit about?
