it's true, and it's horrifying. felis catus is the most blood thirsty and insatiable of all cats because they are permanently fixated with cycles of hunting even when not hungry. other species of cat grow out of that, the predatory hyperdrive only appropriate as they're maturing and practicing and mastering the hunt. they're eventually supposed to mature into a hunt-for-food mentality, but adult felis catus will still hunt-for-fun when not hungry
