On the GULF OF MEXICO: that's where Freeport is located. Houston is close to the GULF OF MEXICO, so anytime we visited my aunt and uncle there on summer vacations, we'd go to Galveston to swim in the GULF OF MEXICO. If time permitted, we'd sometimes drive to Padre Island and stay there a number of days, too, to swim in the GULF OF MEXICO and eat seafood.
Twice we also drove to Mexico, spending time on the GULF OF MEXICO as we did so.
