Yeah, it's pretty bad. I want to upgrade router to an application firewall soon and not just IP based. Cloud flare has made it too easy to do and it's at the edge so that traffic doesn't even reach me. I've been blocking user agents, countries, etc and watching the logs to see what is good vs bad to tune it. I've found blocking gcp, azure, and aws does wonders. That's where all the AI scrapers are running. No one should use them to host fedi server either. Some weirdos do but screw them.
