Ermil, a deacon, and Stratonic, a guard, were martyred in Singidunum (Belgrade) during Licinius' reign. Ermil was tortured for his faith, while Stratonic, secretly a Christian, wept openly. Revealing his faith, Stratonic was tortured alongside Ermil. After severe suffering, they were drowned in the Danube around 315 AD.
