I really hate that the biggest infosec impact I've seen so far in my career derives from "a set of groomed failsons forcibly installing hardware into federal networks backed by a political commissariat" and not, like, an actual technical attack.
There's nothing interesting about this vector. There's not really anything to learn here infosecwise - everything being done is a flagrant violation of extant policy and there's no lessons to take away other than "arm your furries and give them authorization to blow holes in anything noncompliant."
