yeah I hate the nonsensical noise - I probably hate it even more since taking up photography, which is ironic for instagram I guess.
I recently set up an imgram. It has an RSS feed, and doesn't federate with ActivityPub or anything. It's a ksh script to generate the html, and it is excellent. I have it on a Debian VPS, the same one as blog actually.
Mine is at img.lowkey.party, and is mainly there to satisfy nerdy intentions and a place to put snippets of stuff I can show people, as I don't really expect anyone to browse to it. But I can point people to it as needed.
